Here at Blue Meadow Counselling, I can help you understand these issues and guide you through the process of healing and recovery.

Here at Blue Meadow Counselling, I can help you understand these issues and guide you through the process of healing and recovery.   You will be given the space to breathe, to be heard and to be supported.

What to expect

Our initial meeting is an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have.  I will use the brief consultation form that you completed prior to our first session to help guide me as to any questions I may ask of you.  I may also ask you to share more about your background and gather a brief history from you.  I will ask what brings you to counselling and together we will discuss your needs and expectations of counselling.  This first session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether therapy can be useful and whether I am the right therapist for you and your needs.


If you are happy to proceed then we will have an opportunity to explore whatever you choose and do so at your own pace. You will be encouraged to be actively involved in deciding what you need from your counselling sessions.  As we near the end of the session, I will remind you that it is coming to a close and, if we have not already done so, we can agree any further appointment dates and times.  I will be guided by your pace and what you wish to discuss.  I will support you with whatever issues may arise from our sessions.  There is no rush, no hurry and no judgement.


We will also have regular review sessions which will give you the opportunity to feedback about how you think you are progressing on your counselling journey; and to make sure that this form of counselling is still of benefit to you.

Fees

£45 for a 50 minute online or telephone session.  Payment is by direct bank transfer and payable prior to the session taking place.

FAQ's

How many sessions will I need?

You are under no obligation to have a set amount of sessions.  The amount of sessions you have will depend on your individual circumstances and will be decided between you and me or you may prefer a more open-ended approach.  In order to enable contunuity and for counselling to be most effective, I would recommend 1 session a week.

Will anyone know I have been to counselling?

No, your counselling sessions are private and confidential (please see client contract for further details).

Will you give me advice on what I should do?

I will listen to you without judgement and offer information but I will not advise you what to think or do.

What if I can't make a session or miss a session?

I require 48 hours notice to cancel a session.  I will try to find another available time and day to have our session and, if that is not possible, I will charge the full session price of £45.
